Killer Dress

I recently saw this River Island Jersey and Faux Leather mix dress being worn by Alesha Dixon in a magazine and decided I needed it. For now though I will just salivate at this picture of it.

Dress £49.99, River Island

I would team it with some nude shoes like these ones

Shoes £24.99 from Ebay store, Solewish:

Doc Martens

Dr Marten boots have been around for ages. The late 60’s saw ‘skinheads’ wearing them, the film ‘This is England’ set in the 80’s shows a group of ‘skinheads’ proudly sporting their Doc Martens and their popularity has continued on until the present day with celebs such as Frankie Sandford and Jessica Alba regularly being photographed in theirs.

Trickier Than Anticipated..

I have a bit of time off work and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to crack on with my fabulous floral high-waisted shorts. I used a pair of some Topshop ones to get an idea of a pattern and dived straight in. As they started to take shape I tried them on to find they would not fit over my bum, by a long shot! ( I know I may have indulged a little over the past week but I’m sure that McDonald’s didn’t do THAT much damage!). I guess I underestimated how difficult the shorts would be, I’m sure with a pattern I could manage it but until then I think I will just have a perv on these beauts

Shorts from Urban Outfitters on sale for £9.99. Unfortunately they only have size’s 4 and 6 left. Better luck next time!

Fabulous Fringe

I managed to pick up some great Fringe Shorts this weekend which I absolutely had to have as soon as eyes were set on them in Primark. At £10 it’d be rude not to..

These aren’t the actual ones but some very similar from Topshop (£35)

I wore them with an off grey t-shirt so as to not distract from them as the focal point of the outfit but did go for some sky-high shoe boots to show off my rather pasty pins (Fake tan will be needed for next time I sport these bad boys). I would have loved to rock these with some flat boots/wellies for a more bohemian take had I been going to any festivals this summer.

Hannah Makes things, real cute things

I really love stand out Kitsch jewellery. There’s nothing like sporting an unusual item that makes you feel just that slight bit quirkier. Hannah Makes Things is a range of jewellery by Hannah Nutall, a self taught Costume Designer, that does just this. Here are a few of her lovely items that can be bought from the hannahmakesthings website..

Fantasy Wardrobe Items

At the moment I am having to save pretty much every penny I earn because I am going travelling January of next year for 7 months so am going to need a fair amount. Because of this I am having to ‘window shop’ whenever I find myself around clothes.

So I’ve been in town with Mother today which is a potentially dangerous situation for my purse, but was very well behaved and merely Window shopped as well as acting out my fantasy of being her personal shopper.  This didn’t stop me mentally picking out all the items I felt should belong to me, here are but a few of these items:

Selection from Topshop

…Tunic that Mum bought

Selection from Dorothy Perkins
